We started AVLUM because we believed smart home technology was being sold wrong — complicated, fragmented, and forgotten after installation. We built a company around doing it differently.
Our story
Built in the GTA, for the GTA.
AVLUM was founded in the Greater Toronto Area by a team of AV and automation specialists who had spent years watching homeowners struggle with systems that were impressive on paper and frustrating in practice. Too many devices, too many apps, too many things that didn't talk to each other.
We set out to build something different: a full-service integration firm that designs, installs, and programs every system as a single unified experience — and then stays accountable for it long after the final walkthrough.
Today we hold one of a very select number of Control4 Certified Showroom designations in the GTA, and carry full authorized dealer status for both Control4 and Lutron. Every project we take on is custom-engineered for the space, the client, and the way they actually live.

Control4 Certified Showroom
Control4 grants Certified Showroom status to only a very select group of dealers worldwide — those who meet the highest standards for installation quality, programming expertise, and client experience. Our Mississauga showroom is one of a handful in the GTA to hold this designation, giving clients a fully operational environment to experience the complete Control4 ecosystem before committing to a single product.
Control4 Authorized Dealer
Factory-authorized to design, install, and program the full Control4 product line. Authorization means manufacturer-backed warranty support, access to the complete product catalogue, and certified programming expertise.
Lutron Authorized Dealer
Authorized to install and program the full Lutron lighting control and motorized shading range — from Caséta to RadioRA to HomeWorks QSX — with direct manufacturer support and warranty coverage.
